Moobaan Thai, Taman Desa KL

Date visited : 11 March 2017

Today's recommendation is Thai food. When mentioned Thai food, some might immediately think of these words... expensive and spicy. One thing this place is NOT is expensive. Even with RM10, you'll be able to get a delicious and very satisfying Thai meal. This place is called Moobaan Thai.

It serves casual Thai food, so their menu is a simple one piece type and maybe an extra piece that shows you the set lunches or their special menu.

A Thai meal is not complete without having the Pandan Lemongrass Water. Here you just need to order one cup and you can have multiple refills.

I've been here twice for lunch during weekdays and this visit is already my third visit but firsttime for dinner. One of my favourite is this dish... Kuey Teow Namsai.

It's rice noodles in clear soup with minced pork and pork balls. It has a slight Thai spiciness added into the soup but don't worry... the spiciness level is very low.

And if you prefer a non soupy type of noodles, you could always order a Pad Thai, Thai fried noodles.

The lime is to add a little sourish taste to this dish and it's optional. Now this dish is not spicy and not too oily... it's delicious.

For those who prefer a rice dish, you could try their Khao Pad Sapparot... in English, Pineapple Fried Rice.

Even though it's not served in a pineapple like how most Thai restaurants do, it still has the fragrant pineapple taste.

Since we're having rice, we also ordered a few common Thai dishes.

Green Curry Chicken
Stir-fried mixed vegetables
Pandan Chicken
Creamy Seafood Tomyam Soup

The taste of these few dishes are rather subjective. I usually get turned off if the Tomyam Soup was too spicy but this was just right for me... not too spicy and just the right level of sourness. The Pandan Chicken is also worth mentioning because it's exceptionally good.

And last but not least, the best dish tonight was the Moo Ping... grilled pork in Thai style.

It's so juicy and tasty! You should definitely try this. It costs RM3 per stick.

For those who are working in Old Klang Road, Bangsar or Brickfields, you should definitely consider this place for lunch. You don't have to wait long for your orders to be served and it won't cost you a bomb.
